a personal telephone visit Tuesday, Jan 8, Nel Holmes reports that she is doing
much better than a month ago, that the major infection she was battling is
now diminished although IV treatment continues for it each
night, and that she is now engaged in physical therapy. Things are
looking up even though she has a long road road of recovery and rehabilitation
ahead of her. </span></p>

she is now hoping that within a few weeks she may have improved enough that she
will be returning to Kansas for treatment and a rehab hospital or facility in
