JUNE

June 2 and 16 Quiet Day Away

June 3 Collage from the Soul

Tue 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $40, includes lunch

An interactive, creative experience for women wanting to know more about themselves, using the process of SoulCollageT as described in Seena Frost's book, SoulCollage. This day is for those who are familiar with this process and for those new to the experience. Please bring scissors and a glue stick.

June 6-7 Wildflower Walk

Fri 7pm - Sat 4pm Fee: $70

Facilitator: Marva Weigelt

The Flint Hills are famous for a fabulous variety of native wildflowers, and June is the peak time for seeing them in all their glory. If you love getting out in nature, you won't want to miss this opportunity to take a guided wildflower hike through some of the most pristine tallgrass prairie left on the continent.

June 11 Praying on the Prairie

Wed 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Take this one day and find the peace the prairie has to offer. Make this a day to slow down, to listen to the gentle noises of nature, to listen to your own heart beat and to hear the air moving in and out of your lungs. You may spend the day at the center, finding your center on your own, or join others in communal journaling, the sharing of life stories, and gaining hope in the presence and energy of others.

June 17 Courting Yourself: An Internal Affair

Tue 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

What do you need to prove and/or improve your love for yourself? Discover ways to affirm your love for yourself. Teach yourself that you will be there in sickness and in health, in good times and bad. You deserve it and you're worth it

June 21 Gather the Women - Eat, Pray, Love

Sat 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Book by Elizabeth Gilbert. The story of a woman's year-long journey in search of herself. Eating her way through Italy, finding meaning in prayer in India, combining the worldly and spiritual in Indonesia, Gilbert's story is thought-provoking. Oprah had an audience full of women who had read this book one day. The stories of women who changed their lives because of this book were incredible!

June 25 Letters from the Soul

Wed 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

There is power in the unsent letter. We can get in touch with thoughts and feelings at a deeper level when they are uncensored. Bring a journal, notebook or your fanciest stationary to write out your unfinished business with parent, siblings, friends and more.

June 27-28 Horse Sense: What a Horse Can Teach Me about Me

Fri 7pm - Sat 4pm Fee: $80

Facilitator: Jan Jantzen (Yes, Jan's a man)

Everything we do in this hands-on retreat (feeding, catching, petting, smelling, leading, tying, grooming, trailer loading, etc.) will provide opportunities to observe and discuss the horse's physical characteristics, its attitudes, behaviors, body language, and instincts. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to relate more purposely to this very different animal. "There's a little horse in all of us from time to time," says Jan. Understanding the real horse gives us a "leg up" on understanding ourselves and others.

June 30 Sensing the Sacred

Mon 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Join us for a day of relaxation and exploration on the prairie as we allow our eyes to be opened to the abounding grace that we're surrounded by daily.

JULY

July 7 No QDA - center closed

July 21 Quiet Day Away

Mondays 9am-4pm Fee: $12, includes lunch

July 11-12 Scrapbooking Your Faith

Fri 7pm - Sat 4pm Fee: $70

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

We are all spiritual beings, whether we believe in God, a Higher Power, or Creator. This is why "Scrapbooking Your Faith" is more than creating pages based on religious holidays and rituals. As time allows, we will consider people important to our faith, places where we feel close to the divine, the blessings in our lives, our beliefs and values, and particular moments of truth. Please bring the pictures and supplies you believe you will need.

July 14 Finding Space for Grace

Mon 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Let your needs, your life rhythms, your openness to the Divine, lead you into that still place within where you know peace. And once you've found it, trust that you can and will find it again! Perhaps you'll find that grace space through journaling, walking the labyrinth, walking to the creek, guided imagery, and more. Bring a journal, a camera, and anything that offers you comfort.

July 18-19 Gather the Women: A Portrait of Authenticity

Fri 7pm - Sat 4pm Fee: $70

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Can you imagine yourself so full of energy that you "radiate" into the outer world? Take this time away to consider the muted parts of yourself, to sift through the images of you that are authentic and those which the world has put upon you. Using a full- size, life-size outline of your body, you'll weave together symbols of who you are, how you see yourself, how others see you and what you want to strengthen and encourage in this collage of womanhood. Dress comfortably. Bring a journal, a camera or sketch book, if you like, and an open mind, seeking honesty and fun.

July 23 Marking a Passage: Taking Time to Reflect

Wed 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $36, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Passages can disturb, damage, overwhelm, enliven and mystify. Taking time to reflect can bring wisdom for the next step, healing from the past, and expand your awareness of what you are capable of doing. Bring a journal and a pen. If you have a particular life passage in mind as you come for this retreat, bring with you one symbol of the passage

July 29 Sacred Self

Tue 9:30am - 3:30pm Fee: $55, includes lunch

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Create a tool for self-awareness and self-care. Each participant will take home her own personally created "Sacred Self" image - a clay-colored cloth doll covered with symbols of life and living.
