Subject: Spirial Dynamics Conference - Don Beck, Ph.D.

After corresponding with Dr. Don Beck for over two years, Prairie View is very pleased to bring him to our campus for a conference on "Spiral Dynamics" on April 4 & 5, 2008. Dr. Beck is well known for his efforts in working for global peace, including South Africa's peaceful transition from apartheid to democracy and more recently with the Middle East's struggle to negotiate peaceful solutions to long-standing conflicts. His point of emphasis for this conference is about coping with and navigating difficult change in organizations and systems.

A short paragraph from his biographical sketch states: Spiral Dynamics concepts are being used in various contexts literally around the world. Dr. Beck was invited to No. 10 Downing Street in December to meet with members of the "policy unit" in a search for ways to implement "Third Way" initiatives in UK and abroad. Beck has discussed racial issues with President Bill Clinton and deep reconciliation strategies with President Nelson Mandela.

You may get more information about this conference (the complete brochure and program agenda) on the Prairie View web. Click on upcoming events and scroll to "Surviving and Thriving in Times of Transition."

Note: Prairie View staff may attend for ½ price: $73 for 9.5 CEUs; $58 without CEUs, if registered by March 31.

Feel free to forward this email notice to any of your colleagues. Thank you.
