Things are looking up even though she has a long road road of recovery and rehabilitation ahead of her. Nel says she is now hoping that within a few weeks she may have improved enough that she will be returning to Kansas for treatment and a rehab hospital or facility in Wichita. They live in Garden City but have been in the waiting room at St Francis hospital in Wichita for the past couple of days. Ralph is board chairperson for Garden City chapter of Red Cross and state captain for the Patriot Guard. His life is devoted to helping people. He could use our prayers and God's help in this difficult time. She has had continuing problems with heart rate and arrhythmia since the surgery. Her cardiologist anticipates having to put in a pacemaker after the cardiovert procedure. I appreciate the prayers she has received, and I ask that you would keep her in your prayers today. Faithfully Fit Forever (FFF) is a non-profit, cooperative community health program created by MeritCare Hospital Parish Nursing and Cardiac Rehab staff. It was implemented in April of 2000. Faithfully Fit Forever is a non-denominational faith community based exercise, devotion, and health education program. FFF focuses on the body, mind, and spirit connection. The program may benefit the physical and psychological well being of your parishioners. There are currently over 650 faith community leaders (nurses, pastors, teachers, and individuals interested in promoting health) who have completed this training workshop. To date, over 140 places of worship in 8 states have implemented FFF programs. It started in Kansas at Winfield First United Methodist church in September 2003.
