[Kansasumc] Prayer Concern - Kevin DeFisher

Kevin DeFisher, son of Rev. & Mrs. Frank DeFisher (Medicine Lodge
UMC-Kansas West Conference) and brother to Rev. Angela DeFisher (Caney
UMC - Kansas East Conference) underwent surgery June 26th to remove a
mass from the right front lobe of his brain.  Due to the fact he was
experiencing some weakness on the left side following surgery he
returned home with us to Medicine Lodge for a week.  Yesterday (July
6th), we took him back to St. Joseph, Missouri to have his stitches
removed and get the results of the biopsy.  We are requesting further
prayers for him at this time as the biopsy report was not good.  It
stated the tumor was a grade 4 giant cell glioblastoma and the
oncologist said he might have up to 14 months.  He is scheduled to begin
chemo and radiation treatments starting next week sometime.  We want to
thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers and notes of encouragement and
ask that you continue to pray for Kevin.  We know we serve an Awesome
God who is still in the business of performing miracles and would ask
that you join with us in praying for a miracle.
