February  5     Quiet Day Away (Women)                
February 19    Quiet Day Away (Men)
Mondays 9am-4pm     Fee: $10.32 (includes lunch)
The Quiet Day Away  is a day to relax, reflect and restore that is offered monthly.  Walk the labyrinth. Meander down to the creek.  Sit and read a book. Visit with others taking time for themselves. Call or email at least one week in advance to make your reservation

February 2-3    It's a Good Read
Fri 7pm-Sat 4pm        Fee: $60, plus tax
Come share your favorite books with other women and learn what others are reading these days.  Bring a selection to read or share with others, if you'd like.  Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, theology, fun, serious - any and all are welcome!   

February 7    Gather the Women
Wed 9:30am-3:30pm    Fee: $15, plus tax (includes lunch)
Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center is pleased to announce it is coordinating efforts once a month with Gather the Women, a grassroots organization for women who share the belief that the time is now to activate the incredible power of women's wisdom. to celebrate women's true worth, to express shared concern for our human family, and to create and support actions that will enable humanity to live together in a balanced, harmonious and peaceful world (adapted from the mission state of Gather the Women www.gatherthewomen.org)
Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center is offering monthly Gather the Women meetings for women to talk about women's issues in the home, church, and workplace.  We will gather to discuss books such as The Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd and A God Who Looks Like Me by Patricia Lyn Reilly.  There will also be videos like Mother Wove the Morning, I Am Beautiful, and What the Bleep Do We Know? to help women engage in meaningful conversation.  The meetings are intentionally set for different days of the week once a month in hopes that more women can and will have the opportunity to come together with other women.


February 15    Collage from the Soul
Thur 9:30am-3:30pm     Fee: $35, plus tax (includes lunch)
Facilitators: Everyone, as we learn from one another!
An interactive, creative experience for women wanting to know more about themselves, using the process of SoulCollageT as described in Seena B. Frost's book, SoulCollage.  This day is for those who are familiar with this process and for those new to the experience.  Please bring scissors and a glue stick.


February 16     You-Niverse 
Fri 6:30pm until we're done!    Fee: $15, plus tax    Facilitator: Dr. Gill Gabelmann, Great Bend
This retreat focuses on the Kansas night sky in Feb. Participants will spend Friday evening viewing the planets through a small telescope.  We will learn how to start at the Big Dipper and find our way around the constellations in the Winter Sky using a star chart.  We will visit the Winter Circle, including Orion, Taurus, and the Gemini - find many bright stars along with Saturn and Venus  We'll also spend time learning more about the solar system, the nebulae, the galaxy, and the wonders of the universe

This evening-only retreat is for women and men.

Each Wednesday during Lent , a different spiritual growth experience is offered to assist your Lenten journey.  
Come to one - come to some - come to them all

February 21    Lenten Day Away I: Prayer Potpourri

Wed 9:30am-3:30pm    Fee: $45, plus tax (includes lunch & supplies)

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Time to try out a variety of spiritual growth experiences.  Try different forms of prayer, the calming effect of coloring mandalas, walking the labyrinth, a nature walk, creating with your hands, and more. 



February 28    Lenten Day Away II:Sacred Self

Wed 9:30am-3:30pm    Fee: $50, plus tax (includes lunch & supplies)

Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Create a tool for self-awareness and self-care.  Each participant will take home her own personally created "Sacred Self" image - a clay-colored cloth doll covered with symbols of life and living.
